Designs are meant to be altered \u2014 colour, size, flower \u2014 and a picture off Pinterest is treated as a brief rather than a nuisance. If you would rather not decide at all, the designer&#8217;s choice option leaves it to whoever is at the bench that morning.<\/p>\n<p>Weddings are a separate, serious strand: bridal bouquets, boutonni\u00e8res, ceremony and reception work, all starting with a consultation, and the shop is blunt that the deposit exists to hold your date and is not refunded. Corporate and office flowers are their own collection, which in a head-office city means standing weekly orders as much as one-off gifts. Sympathy and funeral arrangements are made here too.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Delivery_and_urgency\"><\/span>Delivery and urgency<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Deliveries go out twice a day inside the city limits, and a floral order placed before noon travels the same day; gift baskets need a full day&#8217;s notice. Before a driver sets off the shop phones the recipient to confirm the address and that somebody will be in \u2014 unless you ask for a surprise. Elbow Valley on the western edge is a listed zone; further out, phone the shop first.<\/p>\n<p>The Calgary detail worth knowing is the weather rule, and it is in writing: flowers are left outside only between 5 and 20 degrees with no wind, which for much of the year rules it out entirely. If nobody answers, the driver tries a neighbour and leaves a note on the door; failing that the arrangement comes back to the cooler and the trip has to be made again. Availability shifts constantly, so substitutions of equal or greater value are part of the deal \u2014 shape, size and colour scheme are kept, and where a single variety is the whole point, the variety wins over the colour. If one flower has to be in the bouquet, say so when you order.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_shop_the_service_and_what_else_is_on_the_shelves\"><\/span>The shop, the service and what else is on the shelves<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>It is a working shop with a walk-in cooler, and the habit at the front is to take you into it rather than hand you a binder. The owner, Monique Britten, bought the business in 2017 after a career that ran from teaching to Calgary&#8217;s oil and gas offices, and the team across the two shops counts decades of floristry. Beyond bouquets there are plants and orchids, seasonal outdoor pots and hanging baskets, gift baskets, balloons and plush toys for the newborn end of the trade, and boutonni\u00e8res when grad season comes round.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"When_to_come_and_how_to_get_there\"><\/span>When to come and how to get there<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The main shop sits deep in the southwest quadrant, a short drive from Heritage Park and the Glenmore Reservoir \u2014 a driving errand rather than a downtown walk-in. The second is in the northeast, so check which quadrant you are aiming for: Calgary repeats its addresses across NE, NW, SE and SW, and that is the classic way to end up on the wrong side of the river. Valentine&#8217;s Day, Mother&#8217;s Day, graduation and December are the crushes, and a few days&#8217; notice is the difference between choosing and taking what is left.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Questions_and_answers\"><\/span>Questions and answers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Can I get flowers delivered today?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, if the floral order is in before midday \u2014 the shop runs two rounds a day inside the city. Gift baskets need about a day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will they leave the bouquet at the door?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only in mild, windless weather, defined here as between 5 and 20 degrees. choice to the designer entirely.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How far out of town do they deliver?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Across the city and out to Elbow Valley; beyond that, call before ordering rather than assuming.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How early should wedding flowers be booked?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As early as you can \u2014 the deposit reserves the date and is not returned, because taking your day means turning other couples away.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What if the flowers arrive looking wrong?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The shop states a freshness guarantee and asks to be called within two days, with
